13 Morceaux, Op.76 – V. Consolation composed by Sibelius – for solo piano.
Jean Sibelius (8 December 1865 – 20 September 1957), was a Finnish composer and violinist of the late Romantic and early-modern periods. His tone poem Finlandia was written in 1899. Sibelius’ compositions of the 1890s are those of a nationalist composer working in the Romantic tradition.
The 13 Morceaux Op.76 were composed from 1911 to 1919, a set of pieces that embody a wide range of moods and tempos.
